METAL HAMMER Awards 2024 presented by IFA

The METAL HAMMER AWARDS return in 2024!

Germany's only prize for hard music celebrates its comeback. On August 31, 2024, the METAL HAMMER AWARDS will be awarded for the eleventh time, presented for the first time by and as part of the IFA.

Germany's leading magazine for heavy metal has been awarding the coveted trophies in several categories since 2009. Rock heroes such as Metallica, Slipknot, Slayer and Motörhead, as well as the best newcomers in the genre, have been honored by the METAL HAMMER editorial team in recent years and have paid tribute on the famous "black carpet" and on the awards stage.

This year, the longlist and line-up of the METAL HAMMER AWARDS 2024 presented by IFA will once again feature strong and prominent metal acts, and numerous guests from the world of entertainment and music are expected to attend. A highlight of the award show on August 31, 2024 at the Uber Eats Music Hall in Berlin, where several live acts will perform in addition to the award winners, will be the concert by Saltatio Mortis, one of the most successful German metal bands. Before that, Lordi will rock the hall with their monster-like costumes and anthemic hard rock, after the Berlin post-hardcore band Future Palace have had the chance to prove themselves as the warm-up act for the award-winning evening.

This year, the spectacular award ceremony will take place for the first time in collaboration with the IFA. This unusual cooperation brings two anniversaries together, as the IFA celebrates its 100th anniversary and the METAL HAMMER brand its 40th birthday and 500th edition.

Fans can order tickets for the METAL HAMMER AWARDS 2024 presented by IFA online. With a ticket for the award show, all guests will receive a 50% discount on a ticket to this year's IFA.
