Legend has it that skateboarding was born when low waves forced surfers out of the water and onto the asphalt in Los Angeles. Since then, skating has evolved into a unique choreography. It plays with the surfaces of cities and appropriates public space with high speed and daring tricks.

In April, this art of movement conquers our big stage: together with a group of skaters and dancers, choreographer Mette Ingvartsen transforms K6 into a skate park. She adds kickflips, 180s and boardslides to the usual dance vocabulary - a vivid reminder of her youth, when she was a skater herself. The energetic performance playfully pushes the boundaries of what is possible and creates a utopian community in which skateboarding and dance merge in a joint, impressive and fast-paced choreography.
