MICHAEL EHNERT
In the organizer's words:
Chivalry is a long-forgotten virtue in this country these days. But Michael Ehnert has rediscovered it. Whenever he encounters reprehensible vices and nasty injustices, he begins to speak in Old High German—as precise as it is unsuitable for Instagram—and advocates for the protection of the poor, the weak, and the oppressed. Accompanying this modern knight is little Sascha, who has not only lost her donkey but also her faith in such things as a functioning society, democracy, the value of knowledge, wisdom, and the power of gentleness.
The well-read viewer recognizes “Ritter auf verlorenem Posten” for what it is: a modern adaptation of Miguel de Cervantes’ “Don Quixote.”
Michael Ehnert is one of the most highly decorated comedians and is well known to Lübeck audiences from the fast-paced comedy plays “Küss langsam,” “Zweikampfhasen,” and “Wir müssen reden.”
