At Tromaville High School, contaminated water from the nearby nuclear power plant has turned the local school gang into violent psychopaths. The radioactive madness takes its course with the sale of contaminated marijuana plants in the playground.
The film comes from the wonderful "Troma-Entertainment" school, whose most famous offspring "The Toxic Avenger" has already swept through numerous video stores with a mop. A crude horror-trash classic.
With high ambitions and a low budget, a Troma highlight was created whose masks, miniatures and effects are a lot of fun and don't look cheap. Four sequels followed with titles such as "Subhumanoid Meltdown" and "The Good, the Bad and the Subhumanoid".
