Miles Kane - One Man Band: Solo Tour '24

Miles Kane has gone back to his roots with his latest album. On "One Man Band", he returns to his days as a guitar hero and focuses on big hooks and even bigger anthems. Sharp, infectious, with banging riffs and packed with sing-along moments. Kane is on top musical form and at the same time has produced a very personal album, for which he returned to Liverpool to reflect on his journey. It is fair to say that this city has had an audible influence on the man from Meols, once across the Mersey River on the ferry, from the very beginning. This applies to his bands - the Little Flames, who disbanded before the debut album was released, The Last Shadow Puppets, the on-and-off supergroup that he founded together with Alex Turner from the Arctic Monkeys, and of course the trio The Rascals, for whom he was singer and guitarist until the start of his solo career. But this also applies to the new record, which is filled with so many varieties of British music. "One Man Band" is a brilliant and heartfelt summary of everything that makes Miles Kane what he is. And the record is not a bit nostalgic. The Englishman has managed to create a consistently cool sound from all these influences, from the Beatles to the Arctic Monkeys, from Bowie to Ferry, from rock'n'roll to Britpop. Or as he puts it himself: "Recording the album in Liverpool really helped to get everything out of me. Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards, and this album helped me rediscover why I picked up a guitar in the first place. It's like a brand new yet somehow familiar leather jacket. A comforting melting pot of all the music that inspires me." Miles Kane comes to us on tour in March.
