With a mixture of concert and meditation, pianist and neuropsychologist Nicolas Namoradze opens the ears of his audience. Mindfulness exercises and listening aids precede his piano playing, creating a calm, aware and perceptive state of mind.
In the second session of the series, musical pieces by Bach, Schubert, Scriabin, and Namoradze are combined with meditations and thought experiments that explore how emotions are expressed in these works to open new perspectives on musical expression and enhance our listening experience.
Experience the concert as usual in chairs or sometimes on a beanbag, pillow or lying down. This is the second of three dates; all Mindful listening concerts this season can be attended individually or sequentially.
