Miranda July

Miranda July, born in 1974 in Barre (Vermont), is a filmmaker, artist and writer. Her work has been shown at the Museum of Modern Art and the Venice Biennale. She wrote the screenplay, directed and starred in the feature films "Me and You and Everyone We Know" (2005) and "The Future" (2011). "Ten Truths", her debut as an author, was awarded the Frank O'Connor Prize, the world's most prestigious short story award. She developed the messaging app "Somebody", which does not send messages electronically but looks for people nearby to deliver them personally. Miranda July lives in Los Angeles
