"Eshet Chayil", translated as "Brave Woman", is a poem that is sung on Shabbat. It is a song of praise to the matriarch of the house.

This matriarch is an active woman, both inside and outside the home. She is mobile, active and self-determined. But she is also domestic, loving and friendly. Above all, however, she is strong, brave and courageous. She is described with male and female connotations.

Mirna Funk and her discussion partner Anna Staroselski are looking for a way out of deadlocked feminist debates. It is about the true strengths of women and overcoming role clichés.

Anna Staroselski is the spokesperson for the German-Jewish Values Initiative, a political, non-partisan and non-profit association that has established itself as the voice of the Jewish community in Germany. The WerteInitiative is committed to strengthening the values of the free democratic basic order from a Jewish perspective. As Vice President of the German-Israeli Society, she is also committed to strengthening German-Israeli relations. She previously served as President of the Jewish Student Union Germany - the nationwide political interest group for young Jews between the ages of 18 and 35. Anna Staroselski was born in Stuttgart in 1996 as the daughter of Jewish contingent refugees from Ukraine and grew up there.
