Mischkas wundersame Reise

"I'm sick of being a toy here," growls Mischka the Bear.

I want to go for a walk all by myself and do whatever I want!

With those words, Mischka leaves home.

On his journey, he has adventures, makes friends, and learns that he can do quite a lot on his own.

Then it’s Christmas—the evening when everyone is supposed to do a good deed. Mischka wants to do that, too.

And what a stroke of luck—he gets to help the Christmas reindeer deliver the presents.

Soon they reach the last house. Mischka reaches into the sack, but no matter how hard he looks, the sack is empty.

When the little boy who lives in this house wakes up tomorrow morning, he won’t have a present, Mischka thinks sympathetically. What on earth should he do?

Mischka the Bear leaves his familiar but chilly home and sets off into the world. He discovers the world, feels, smells, and tastes, finds friends, and eventually finds a place where he is wanted and loved.
