Medieval market at Christmas time in Siegburg 2026
Cheers echoed across the Medieval Christmas Market in Siegburg - and for a very special reason: the established Christmas market was voted the favorite Christmas market of 2025.
Between crackling fires and flickering light from torches and candles, a market as it might have been centuries ago unfolds before visitors' eyes: Rope makers, broom makers, blacksmiths and gemstone merchants advertise their skills. Shopkeepers offer precious and curious goods for sale. The aroma of freshly baked bread, spicy mead and sweet treats mingles with the sound of flutes, drums and shawms.
Under the winter sky, jugglers perform their jokes, minstrels fill the square with music - and a wooden carousel, set in motion by hand, enchants visitors young and old.
For years, the market has been regarded as a very special experience: like a journey back in time, it is loud and lively, magical and festive, enchanting and atmospheric. Small and refined in format, it surprises its guests time and time again with authentic craftsmanship, a historic atmosphere and a special charm.
