Surfing the new New German Wave

New German Wave? That was back in the 80s... But wait: people have been talking about the new Neue Deutsche Welle for a few years now - and Selena Hamers alias Modular is surfing right in the middle of it. The Hamburg native thinks her art goes beyond the music: outfit, make-up, stage show and sound are perfectly coordinated and invite you into a world of sometimes spherical and sometimes danceable sounds, very personal lyrics and fascinating stories.
