23:54. A1 towards Hamburg. Rain pelts against the windshield of the Polo 86C named Agneta. Accompanied by wafting synths and spherical sounds, the Hamburg native by choice drives through the depths of the night. Her deliberately fluid soundscapes create contrasts that urge to merge. Between nostalgia and progressiveness, MODULAR is not easy to grasp - self-referential, socially critical, feminist. She captures the dark and beautiful, the gray and colorful, the warm and cold, Düsseldorf and Hamburg and creates a new German-language romanticism of 80s nostalgia.

The musician is a serious new and important act on the Hamburg indie scene, and her sound is also on the short lists of tastemaker magazines nationwide: as an organic and independent development of the soundscapes of influential bands such as Aurora, Allie X, Siouxie and the Banshees and Depeche Mode from new wave, indie and wave pop, MODULAR creates a unique soundscape in the spirit of the times.

With their debut EP "Rauschgift", MODULAR has already graced the cover of the Spotify "Fresh Finds GSA" and DIFFUS "Neue Neue Deutsche Welle" playlist and the print cover of DAS WETTER magazine. This was followed by their iconic cover "Goldener Reiter", the single "Herbstduett" with Kerker, "Zeit steht" in February 2024 and the release of "Erste Große Freiheit", a collab with Mia Morgan, at the end of April.

On stage, MODULAR invites you on a journey, away from everyday life and into a fictional home. The audience celebrates together as she sings about first queer love or emancipation from a toxic relationship. With an unmistakable stage presence, artistic stage design and emotionality, MODULAR has the audience in the palm of her hand and inspires them.

The artist with roots in Düsseldorf is taking off live in 2023: In addition to support shows for Mia Morgan, Mayberg, nand and SALÒ, she also played at the Juicy Beats Festival, Riviera Festival, Cologne Music Week and KiezKultur Festival, among others.

In February 2024, she celebrated her first headlining shows with the "Rendezvous" tour, and festivals such as c/o pop, Unter einem Dach, About Pop Festival in Stuttgart and neue wellen in Cologne have already been confirmedfor the summer season.

For November and December, she has announced the "Trümmer dieser Stadt Tour 2024", which will take her to five major German cities.
