Three festivals. Countless moments. And now, for the first time, Modus moves indoors.

On October 30 & 31, we’re opening a new chapter with the Modus Weekender —two nights built around the same idea that has shaped Modus from the very beginning: carefully selected artists, space for every set to unfold, and a crowd that comes for the music.

The setting for this new chapter is the“Ehemaliges Hauptzollamt,” located in the heart of Hamburg’s UNESCO World Heritage Speicherstadt. Surrounded by canals and historic warehouses, the former customs office combines monumental brick architecture, large windows, high ceilings, and raw industrial spaces across two floors.

The lineup features artists closely tied to Modus’s history as well as new names joining us for the first time. Innellea, Kollektiv Turmstrasse Live, and Britta Arnold return after memorable performances in recent years, while Denis Horvat and Xinobi make their Modus debut. As always, selected artists from Hamburg’s local scene will round out both nights.

For the Weekender, we’ll transform the building from the ground up. A powerful sound system, a large-scale LED wall, light installations, and carefully designed details will reshape the historic space for two nights—creating a new environment for music, movement, and everything in between.
