Potentiality, acceptance, accessibility. Utopia, reality, transience, tactility. Silence as an Arcadian dream, a longing with no chance of realization. As a remedy for an age of excess. As an apprehension, as an admission, as a mindfulness fetish. Desirable and impossible.
Silence challenges us to answer many questions, it is itself a question. We will talk to our guests about their understanding of silence, about its role in discourses on the present and about the cultural and political consequences of its absence or presence. Following the discussion, Marcin Dymiter will play a soundscape set.
