The renowned Moka Efti Orchestra returns to the stage in 2025 together with acclaimed actor Benno Fürmann and guest star Le Pustra ("Kabarett der Namenlosen") to once again immerse themselves in a world that brings the dazzling atmosphere of 1920s Berlin to life.

The extraordinary ensemble, made famous by the internationally successful series "Babylon Berlin", not only brings the music and glamor of the era to the stage, but also the dark, fascinating stories from Volker Kutscher's novel "The Wet Fish". Alongside the orchestra, Benno Fürmann, known as the complex General Wendt from the series, will captivate the audience with his powerful and versatile voice. The performances, based on the idea of Gesa Husemann, combine impressive readings with the rousing music of the Moka Efti Orchestra and create a magical atmosphere that casts a spell over the audience. With "Babylon Berlin", directors Tom Tykwer, Achim von Borries and Henk Handloegten have created a masterpiece that shows the fascinating and dangerous world of the Weimar Republic in all its facets. With hits such as "Zu Asche, zu Staub", the feverish atmosphere of the 1920s spreads like wildfire and is also brought back to life in the readings with Benno Fürmann.

The Moka Efti Orchestra and Benno Fürmann manage to stage Volker Kutscher's book "Der nasse Fisch" in a way that combines image, sound and reading into a harmonious triad. The audience can expect a top-class multimedia show that combines the past and the present and brings the Weimar Republic period to life at first hand. In these readings, Berlin presents itself as wild, dirty, glamorous and party-loving at the same time.

The ensemble, led by composers Nikko Weidemann and Mario Kamien and saxophonist and arranger Sebastian Borkowski, has made a name for itself both in Germany and internationally with its acclaimed concerts. Benno Fürmann, who won the hearts of audiences with his role as General Wendt, also demonstrates his impressive talent on stage. His career has taken him from New York City, where he studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, to Hollywood via numerous film and television productions. He has received numerous awards for his outstanding performances and remains an integral part of the German cultural scene.

The musical readings with the Moka Efti Orchestra and Benno Fürmann are an artistic highlight that revives the magic of the Golden Twenties and transports the audience to a bygone but fascinating era.
