Moment Mal. Das Young Bauhaus Festival

Noch niemand hat sich das Event gemerkt.

In the organizer's words:

From July 17 to 19, we invite you to our “Moment Mal” festival at the Temporary Bauhaus Archive. Here, you can take some time out and experience what a break has to offer: Let yourself be surprised by artist talks, film screenings, artworks, music, and sound installations. Photography, sculpture, and painting offer insights into the diverse meanings of the term “break,” while workshops invite you to discover a whole new kind of break.

At the Bauhaus, breaks played a major role. Outside of class, Bauhaus students played sports, made music, partied, and relaxed with friends in the sun. The activities and relationships that emerged during these breaks led to new ideas. “Young Bauhaus” follows this example: As young people in a fast-paced world, we want to reflect on the different facets of breaks.

Some of us are taking a break between high school and college, while others struggle to find time for breaks at all amid the demands of daily student life. In some weeks, the “Young Bauhaus” gatherings are the only opportunity to make time for art and forget about the stresses of everyday life. A break is often seen as something simple and accessible, but reality often tells a different story. With this festival, we want to break down the barriers that stand in the way of rest and relaxation and enable everyone to hit “pause” on their lives for a moment.

In our program, we explore the theme of taking a break: What makes for a good break? Can everyone afford to take breaks? How can I make the most of my break? What happens when I’m forced to take a break? Come by and find the answers to these questions for yourself.

Young Bauhaus are: Clara Bennett, Annika Bruski, Marina Fomenko, David Goldmann, Lilian Harding, Ana Horlacher, Seela Kalima, Anna Janina Kristen, Sophia Logothetis, Kirill Matvienko, Meta Lilla Nagel, Luise Pfeiffer, Lilly Philipp, Jorna Quast, Sara Salih, Ella Belle Wagner, Marie Zumpf
