MOMOTROPE is a conglomerate of sounds, perhaps the voice of an alien gazing longingly into the distant starry sky, a princess on the moon, a pseudo giant or a lost octopus? Their music takes off atmospherically into the heavens, dreaming melancholically, only to be brought back down to earth again. The mixture of finely tuned, sometimes harshly beautiful synthesizer worlds, the electronically amplified drums and two acoustic vocal timbres give MOMOTROPE its idiosyncratic sound. The band seeks and finds a kind of conceptual strangeness, with each song going in a slightly different, unpredictable direction and always surprisingly profound, almost mystical.
