Freshly discovered in time for the release tour for their very first EP, we open after the winter break with the Zurich trio MOMOTROPE. The young sound conglomerate conjures up unpredictable, experimental and sometimes ruggedly beautiful songs on synths, electronica, drums and sometimes piano, which sometimes look atmospherically into the starry sky, sometimes groove with cool, playful weirdness to bass-loving electronica, sometimes first turn all the music boxes upside down in the children's room and then float out of the window into a weird, enchanting dreampop. At the heart of each of their idiosyncratic songs, the band seeks and finds a kind of profound, conceptual weirdness, from which each song whirls in a slightly different, unpredictable direction to develop an almost mystical pull.
