The Monday Music Club is an energetic punk/rock/indie cover band from Leipzig, founded in 2023. Peter Hartlapp, known as a host on MDR Aktuell and MDR Kultur, shapes the band’s sound with his distinctive voice. Manuel Seyffert drives the sound forward with his rhythm guitar. Dirk Seliger on bass provides the pulsating foundation. Alois Schölzel delivers the heartbeat on drums, and Frank Stephan, with his golden fingers on lead guitar, adds brilliant accents that give the songs their special magic. Our concept: We cover songs across a wide range of genres—especially tracks you rarely hear from classic cover bands—and give them our very own, powerful rock-punk twist.
