Breakdance Contest in the HALLE

Move For Freedom is an international breaking event where dancers from all over the world come together to compete in battles, learn from each other and live and celebrate hip hop as a global culture of exchange.

The focus will be on spectacular breaking battles - including a 4 vs. 4 crew battle and a 1 vs. 1 kids battle. A renowned jury will award prize money totaling EUR 5,000.

In addition to the battles, the event offers free dance workshops (including a beginners' workshop) and a panel discussion on the topics of hip-hop, democracy and equality. During the battles, our summery outdoor area will be transformed into an outdoor chill area with a DJ and seating.

The after-show party in the Kesselhaus on Saturday evening will be the grand finale.

Move For Freedom is aimed at everyone who is interested in dance, culture and social cohesion - together we are creating an open space in which diversity, creativity and solidarity take center stage.
