In this special choral evening with Raphaël Pichon and his Ensemble Pygmalion, Mozart's famous Requiem, which the composer himself was unable to complete on his deathbed, is interwoven with numerous unknown vocal works by Mozart that thematically revolve around the end of life. But in these sometimes simple settings of the texts as well as in the rousing, powerful movements, Mozart's last masterpiece appears not only as a ritual for the repose of the dead, but also as a celebration of the forces of life.
