Pollution of the oceans with plastic, oil and harmful substances is threatening marine ecosystems. The oceans are not only important global trade routes, but also store CO₂ and supply us with oxygen. Oceanographer Corinna Schrum and microbiologist Rüdiger Stöhr will explain the current state of the world's oceans.
The event is part of Hamburg Horizons 2025, a series of events this year dedicated to water as a resource and habitat. Further information on the current program can be found here.
