At 18, Muna falls in love with the unapproachable Magnus during an internship at the local newspaper in her East German hometown, who disappears without a trace after one night together. She leaves the city, fights her way resolutely into the world, studies and forges new relationships. Magnus, however, remains her most important inner anchor. After seven years, the two meet again by chance and it seems as if Muna has finally found her home in the world. But soon the first cracks appear in the "idyll", and their relationship is characterized by coldness and violence. But Muna fights on...

The multi-award-winning writer Terézia Mora deconstructs the belief in perfect, blissful love and describes internalized misogyny in her novel. Muna unfolds a narrative maelstrom that we are premiering at emma-theater.
