Munich goes charitable! For the sixth time, the MünchnerStiftungsFrühling invites you to stop by, get to know and get involved.

After an opening day of events, a five-day program begins on Wednesday, June 5, up to and including Sunday, June 9, to which all interested citizens are welcome!

You can attend lectures, guided tours, exhibitions, workshops, discussions, events on foundation know-how and concerts.

More than 50 institutions in Munich and the surrounding area will be presenting their work and showing where foundation and association work can be found. What do they do, how can you get involved and why are they indispensable?

The topics range from education and social affairs, art and culture, health and the environment to church, business and sport.

Whether entertaining, serious or educational, the programme reflects the great diversity of the organizations involved. In addition to numerous foundations, clubs and associations also demonstrate in a practical and everyday way how important they are for a smooth everyday life and, above all, for a lively and diverse society.

Bavaria's Minister of Social Affairs Ulrike Scharf emphasizes: "Foundations are a part of our everyday lives - even if we are often not aware of it. The MünchnerStiftungsFrühling (MSF) is an important opportunity to make the important work of foundations visible. Foundations stand for many success stories and are think tanks! Numerous people volunteer in foundations and are an important part of our Bavarian culture of volunteering. At the MSF, anyone interested can find out about the work of the foundations and talk to them. In the coming days, doors will be opened with a varied program."

How about, for example, an Open Day or a workshop on the topic of "Resilience" by the Gesellschaft macht Schule foundation, a symposium by the Schneesport Stiftung with the participation of Sven Hannawald, a "Gen Z" musical talk show by Sarré Musikprojekte and the Castringius Kinder & Jugend Stiftung at the Altes Gasteig, a workshop tour at the Haus der Eigenarbeit, a look behind the scenes at the renowned and traditional Herzog Carl Theodor Eye Clinic Foundation, a seminar at the Hanns Seidel Foundation on the topics of Brexit or digitalization, a visit to the Amerikahaus, a lecture on animal welfare in everyday life by Animals United e.V., a workshop on climate justice by the Munich Re Foundation, an open day at Caritas Munich North, an information event on mental health by the Mental Health Initiative or a guided tour of the HORIZONT House by the Jutta Speidel Foundation?

There is a lot to discover on each of the five days - almost all of the events are free of charge, but you should register in advance for some of them.
