MusicMatch, the conference and festival for pop culture in Saxony, returns in 2026 with fresh ideas and a clear stance. Under the motto "Music for a New Society", the format is once again dedicated to the question of how music reacts to social change - and sets impulses itself. In panels, workshops and talks, artists, organizers and interested visitors will come together to discuss the present and future of the music scene.

Saturday evening offers a highly diverse concert program with a diverse line-up with hip-hop accents full of fat beats and deep lyrics. Look forward to:

Ebow

With four albums released to date, Ebow has long since established herself as one of the most important voices in German rap and has also delivered a few anthems for the naturally political among the millennials and Gen Zs. "She writes politically correct and grammatically incorrect lyrics about contempt for women in her scene and contempt for foreigners in her country", as the ZEIT once put it. On her current album "FC CHAYA", which has just been named the best album of the year at the VIA - VUT Indie Awards 2025, she focuses entirely on the LGBTQIA+ community and delivers queer love songs that have never been heard before in Germany. The sound alternates between indie rock influences, RnB and cloud rap aesthetics
of Y2K. In turbulent times, she probably wants to tell us, no message is more important than love itself.

DISSY

DISSY is exactly what trained feature journalists call a "complete artist". His identity is not defined solely by the stringing together of neatly formulated lines on beats. DISSY is a cosmos, a complete aesthetic system. DISSY stands out from the broad mass of contemporary urban artists with his direct melancholy and his enigmatic, playful melancholy.

With over 20 million streams on Spotify alone and hit songs such as "September", "Coca Capana" feat. futurebae, "Muss los" and collaborations with artists such as Grim104, Mine, Luvre47, Maeckes, YRRRE, Ahzumjot, Clueso and many more, DISSY has already left a clear mark on the German music landscape and has rightly established himself as one of the most exciting German-speaking artists with his combination of detailed intuition and perfectly coordinated visual aesthetics.
On his latest project "Morgen werde ich mich dafür hassen" (release June 2025), he takes listeners on a musical journey through a night of drinking. There is room for topics such as mental health, escapism, interpersonal toxicity and changing relationships.

Sharon

The Israeli rapper and songwriter was born in September 1997 and lives in Germany, where she grew up with her parents and two older siblings. Sharon discovered her love of music at a young age and grew up listening to different genres. Although RnB/soul, funk, Latin and even rock songs are on her playlist, rap music has always been her first love and her means of expression. Originally from Tel Aviv, the Pforzheim rapper writes and produces her songs with great passion. The sound of her music and her self-written lyrics are largely inspired and influenced by the hip-hop music of the 80s and 90s. With her love for this genre, the young MC combines her rap skills with old-school vibes. The 28-year-old queer feminist stands for her own sound as well as for (self-)empowerment, authenticity and self-love.

The seminar

The seminar conveys its content through groovy, fast beats between Neue Deutsche Welle, techno and crazy chaos. With learning hits such as World Wide Web, Computer or Blitz, the participants are interactively involved in the program, which reinforces the transfer of knowledge.

The focus is on having fun learning together by repeating the lyrics out loud. Drinking and dancing during the event are encouraged.
