The Elsterbluesband is the result of unconditional dedication to the music, combined with the idea of bringing everything back to a simpler point. A band: created to transport the pure joy of playing, raw and unhewn. The pure energy! A band that sends people off into the night feeling better than they did in the evening, when they perhaps didn't want to go out at all, beaten down by the adversities of life.

The three protagonists do not adhere to the exact reproduction of all-too-familiar sequences and guidelines, but instead live out the rhythmic and melodic peculiarities that have emerged improvisationally over decades of live experience.
