When Tommy receives a call inviting his band to open for Green Day on New Year's Eve, he has no idea that it's an elaborate prank by his older brother, Wayne. Desperate for a change in his life, Tommy steals Wayne’s car and sets off with his band from Kansas City to Los Angeles—determined to make the trip in three days. What follows is a wild and hilarious road trip across America, inspired by Green Day’s early days when they were still touring in a van—years before the release of their hit album “Dookie.”
