Music and Visual Arts – Painted Sounds

Vocal Ensemble Tempera Mente and Artist Anna Dianda

Tuesday, October 6, 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Junges Theater

“We sing music that purifies the mind and moves the soul,” says the Dutch vocal ensemble Tempera Mente, articulating its artistic credo. “I believe in the potential of art to transcend boundaries and time and to connect people on a deeper level,” says Göttingen-based painter Anna Dianda.

In this joint production by the International Handel Festival Göttingen and the KAZ, music and the visual arts enrich one another. Not only can the audience experience live via a projection how Anna Dianda spontaneously translates Tempera Mente’s early Baroque sounds into paintings, but five people will also have the opportunity to create their own images in harmony with the music.

The Tempera Mente ensemble was selected for the European funding program Sustainable-EEEmerging 2026–27.

Paint-Along Opportunity: Those interested can—after registering in advance by September 16—paint along for free at an easel. Painting supplies and canvases will be provided. To register, contact Anna Dianda at anna.dianda@web.de.
