When Wolfgang Rihm's "4 Studies for a Clarinet Quintet" meet Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Clarinet Quintet in A major, following on from the performance of Brahms' Clarinet Quintet on 31 August at Musikfest Berlin, two composers with great imagination and creative drive meet, coloring the traditional instrumentation with lyrical intensity.
