Musiksommernacht 2026

The Musiksommernacht welcomes you on a rather unusual date, namely 31.07. and 01.08.2026. Due to the late summer vacations, we only had the alternative date in the summer vacations in Oberhausen's tight schedule, but then it really is high summer. This means that Oberhausen's city center fills up with hordes of people, the restaurateurs pour out like crazy and a musical and gastronomic paradise of discovery is created between Friedensplatz, Altmarkt and Elsässer Straße.

The City-O-Management and the OWT invite you to join them, organized as in the previous year by Indie Radar Ruhr with the kind support of Stadtsparkasse Oberhausen and the Bitburger Brewery Group with its König Pilsener brand.

The now traditional opening with the tapping of the keg by Lord Mayor Thorsten Berg will take place on Friday at 5 pm. The Shanty Choir Marina Oberhausen will provide the musical backdrop beforehand and the "Emscherspatzen" afterward.
