Over the last 70 years, Mykonos has undergone changes that test the limits of the imagination. It used to be dirt cheap, now it's prohibitively expensive; it used to be "off the beaten track", now it's a top destination; it used to be inclusive, now it's exclusive.

What has happened? Using impressive archive footage, the film traces Mykonos' transformation from post-World War II poverty to its current allure, highlighting the island's duality. Exclusive interviews with locals and expatriates offer intimate, multifaceted insights into this complex and fascinating island.
