Visual Concert with works by Jean Sibelius
The Visual Concert Mythos, which combines music and light art, is a fabulous experience for the eyes and ears. Rarely performed works by the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius form a dazzling arc of tone poems, incidental music and pieces for soprano and orchestra. Sibelius' musical language is unique with its depth, echoes of nature and references to mythical material. Together with lighting designer Elana Siberski, the Israeli-British video artist Tal Rosner transforms the concert stage into an experiential space for all the senses with several screens, video projections and light objects.
