MYTH OF AMERICA

Monster Truck Shows, Superman, Coca Cola: MYTHOS AMERIKA are dedicated to the pop cultural myths of the 20th and 21st centuries. Casual grooves meet surreal lyrics, guitars meet synthesizers, humor meets outrage. Set pieces from 1000 years of music history are collaged and reinterpreted with deconstructivist verve and great attention to detail. The Cologne trio's aim is to recode all codes and create an alternative concept to reality. In 2023, the debut album JUGEND TRAINIERT FÜR OLYMPIA is released by baumusik. The second album VIVE LE CINEMA follows in May 2025.

Slowklahoma

In Victor Gelling's imagination, Slowklahoma is a land where the fictional North America coincides with the cold reality of Europe. The myth of America and Echo Park meet half-forgotten GDR heroes and grandfathers suffering from dementia in Slowklahoma. Underpinned by a mix of jangle pop and alternative country, synths and Americana twang, dey Wildscheine sings about the first German in space, fathers waiting for their children and conspiracy theories surrounding the death of Andy Kaufman. The sound of a place where the sea and surf are a long way off and you have to make do with the Baltic Sea and the Spreewald. Music for people who secretly don't want to wear their cowboy hats ironically.
