A warm summer evening at the outdoor pool: it smells of chlorine, chips and sunscreen; hordes of children run screaming through the scene, pensioners sunbathe on warm stone slabs, swimmers do their laps. Between the slide, sunbathing lawn and kiosk, society meets here in the pool - the same picture in Leipzig or Bremen, Stuttgart or Erfurt. A good place to ask about personal stories of German-German identity. How do the people at the edge of the pool talk about "East" and "West"?
With the audiovisual performance NACH DER BAHN DIE WENDE, STUDIO URBANISTAN invites you to the summer sociotope of the outdoor pool. Equipped with headphones, they dive deep into the social pool and explore the subtle differences. Who surfaces? Who goes under? And can you learn to swim alone? A performance about formative origins, boundaries in the mind and where these become blurred. Now you have to jump!

Please bring weatherproof clothing - and swimwear if you like.
