NachtKlänge: Handpan Special
In the organizer's words:
This NachtKlänge series focuses on handpans (Hang-like instruments). It features projects that combine handpans with other instruments. The fascinating, bell-like sound of this hand-played acoustic metal resonator has become hugely popular worldwide. Various handpan builders have significantly expanded the original design in terms of range and tone combinations, opening the door to new playing techniques and timbres.
Moritz Schmejkal (handpan solo),
Mandakini (handpan) & Dakimi (vocals),
Beate Gatscha (handpan) & Pandit Radheshyam Sharma (pakhawaj),
Tivadar Nemesi (handpan, alto flute) & Hakan Tugrul (santur)
Concert as part of the “NachtKlänge – Listening with the Heart” series.
NachtKlänge is a concert series focusing on transcultural acoustic music in an atmospheric setting, taking place mainly during the colder months. Thanks to underfloor heating and mats, the music can also be enjoyed while lying down.
After the concert, there will be an opportunity to meet the musicians.
