In the organizer's words:
You’re warmly invited to the weekly Sewing Café—organized by Ukrainian women. Here you can chat, get creative together, and make beautiful things! Participation is free. We’ll provide some needles, thread, and fabric scraps. Of course, you’re welcome to bring your own materials if you’d like! No experience is necessary.
Since fall 2022, Yuliya Firsova, a teacher originally from Odesa, has been hosting the Sewing Café at the nEUROPA Gallery. Together with other women who have fled Ukraine, they’ve created a place where they can unwind, talk, sing, share their problems, and find support and warmth.
