NAKED SELF – making drag visible - Vernissage und Event

In the organizer's words:

NAKED SELF is a multimedia exhibition about drag as an expression of identity, transformation and visibility.

Between photography, film and immersive staging, the project accompanies drag artists from all over Germany and makes their perspectives not only visible, but tangible. The focus is on real stories: of transformation, self-discovery and the desire to be seen. It's not about what drag looks like, but what drag does to people. NAKED SELF combines documentary storytelling with installation elements, performance and visual staging, moving between exhibition, experience and encounter. A project from the community for the community and for anyone who is prepared to take a closer look. The exhibition opens up spaces that normally remain hidden and makes visitors part of the experience themselves.
