How can we shape urban nature together?

On this walk for the Long Day of Urban Nature, we go in search of clues in the Mühlenkiez: Who are our neighbors? Not just the ones with two legs, but also the ones with six, or with green leaves? At various stations, we show how nature finds its place in the city - with the help of local residents. From flowering islands to individual front gardens, from Benjes hedges to birdhouses. We learn why not all gardens are the same, why orchards offer more than just apples and how traditional crafts can also be useful in the big city.

Along the way, we will discuss how nature and the city come together and what conflicts and opportunities arise in everyday life. We will also ask ourselves what future developments will shape our neighborhood and how we can help shape them. The walk will be led by volunteers from Mühlengrün AG, who have knowledge and interests in the fields of urban ecology, urban planning, climate protection and nature-oriented gardening.

After our walk, we invite you to the Peace of Land community garden at the KulturMarktHalle. There we can continue our exchange over tea and treats from the garden.
