Richard is a lucky man. He has won 162 million euros in the lottery. This promises a life of luxury, without worries, unpaid bills and full of opportunities - from beautiful trips to a bigger house and charity work. But over dinner, he tells his wife Claire, his mother Rose and his best friend Etienne that he won't be accepting the winnings. What begins as a calm announcement escalates into a discussion about values, principles and pure despair. Is Richard a fool or a visionary? Has he freed himself from his dependence on money - or has he catapulted himself into social exclusion? What if he does cash in his winnings? And what if he doesn't? Following her successful production of KALTER WEISSER MANN, Minden artistic director Andrea Krauledat returns to the WBT director's desk for this quirky social satire and poses the question: is money a heavenly gift or a diabolical burden?
