Ensemble Double Sens

Serbian-French violinist Nemanja Radulović exudes more than just a hint of freedom and adventure—and what composer could this suit better than Beethoven? For his performance at the Oetkerhalle, Radulović has specially arranged Beethoven’s famous Kreutzer Sonata for himself and his Ensemble Double Sens. With a fresh, unconventional approach, he draws out new, previously unheard facets of the work and demonstrates that there is always something new to discover in the masterpieces of the past. In addition to Beethoven, the program features Johann Sebastian Bach’s highly virtuosic Violin Concerto in D minor, as well as Prokofiev’s suite inspired by “Romeo and Juliet,” with its melt-in-your-mouth melodies, dynamic dances, and powerful rhythms.
