The event "A musical journey through the Grotrian family's guest books" has been postponed and will now take place on Friday, December 19 at 6 pm.

Antje Becker (moderator) and Juan Peñalver Madrid (piano) will present works by well-known and lesser-known composers who once stayed at the Grotrian house. They provide an insight into the cultural exchange that the family always had with the international music world.

The Grotrian family has enriched the musical life of the city of Braunschweig for more than 150 years. The Grotrian, Helfferich, Schulz and Grotrian-Steinweg piano workshop produced grand and upright pianos that enjoyed an excellent reputation all over the world. The family home at Bohlweg 48 in Braunschweig was a place of inspiration and hospitality for composers, musicians and music lovers.

Admission for adults is 5 euros; concessions (for pupils, students, trainees, people with disabilities, pensioners and holders of the "Braunschweig Pass") 2.50 euros; children from six to 16 years 2 euros; school classes and children up to six years free admission. The Städtisches Museum is fully barrier-free. Advance ticket sales start on Thursday, December 18, at 11 a.m. in the museum, Haus am Löwenwall. The number of seats is limited.
