Top-class young talent

In recent years, the newcomer show at Krystallpalast Varieté Leipzig has not only proven itself as a stage for top-class up-and-coming talent, but also as a place for creative exchange. The special feature: there is no age limit.

Newcomers are those who have not yet performed on a German variety stage. Artists from all over the world apply to take part: graduates of renowned circus schools as well as self-taught artists. The best 12 to 14 acts are selected from 250 to 350 applications. On four evenings, the most extraordinary and top-class acts come together in a show full of highlights.

On the final evening, the expert jury, consisting of representatives of the leading German variety theaters, will decide on the awards, which are traditionally linked to engagements at the respective variety theaters. Particularly spectacular: the Audience Award and the Grand Jury Prize - both of which come with a contract offer for the Krystallpalast Varieté itself.
