Music, dancing, food, getting to know and inform each other and chasing away the winter. We celebrate the New Year with you at our place. Newrooz (also known as Nouruz) means "new day" and marks the beginning of spring. It also symbolizes the victory of light over the darkness of winter. The New Year and spring festival has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019 and has a history dating back over 3,000 years. Over 300 million people worldwide celebrate the Newrooz festival, including many Oldenburg residents.
