Next Generation Technology Center

In the organizer's words:

As their final project, the bachelor's students of architecture at Mainz University of Applied Sciences have designed a "Next Generation Technology Center" on the plaza between the Mainz University of Applied Sciences campus and the Biotechnology Campus. As a central place of education, the center offers all generations - pupils, students and researchers - space for exchange and experimental learning. It also promotes networking and exchange between institutions that are driving forward the topics of biotechnology and digital transformation.

As a vertically organized building, the "Next Generation Technology Center" is part of the spatial consolidation of the previously open area into a sustainable campus landscape.

The programmatic focus is on the Center for Creative Technologies, which introduces and trains students in digital technologies and biotechnology topics. Here they gain their first impressions of further education in a scientific, entrepreneurial and cultural environment.

The final projects show diverse contributions to a living and working environment that makes Mainz fit for technological change and strengthens Mainz as a central address in the field of biotechnology.

On Tuesday, 10.02.2026, from 18:00 to 20:00: Graduates present their projects to the public, followed by drinks and discussions
