Sensual object art meets cybernetic sound processes

At the Rudi venue for art, Stephanie Wagner, Jens Carstensen and Jonas Hummel (from right) are preparing an exhibition of objects that will then be integrated into a self-regulating sound network using a special electronic system. On his 100th birthday, the two "Rudis" congratulate the American pioneer of early computer music David Tudor with a homage to his Rainforest concept of the 1960s, a hybrid of exhibition, sound installation and concert.

The Society for Ambitious Pursuits - Society 4 Nontrivial Pursuit - under the direction of Prof. Alberto de Campo and Bruno Gola (UDK Berlin) developed "Neuronal Labyrinth", a live-playable network as a musical instrument that ties in with David Tudor's early computer works in the context of human and machine signal processing.

In a work process lasting several days, the playable sound installation "Next to David" will be created in the large exhibition hall of the Rudi. The exhibition will be opened and played on Ascension Thursday at 5 pm. Afterwards, the artists invite you to a demonstration, workshop and discussion.
