For her documentary NEVER ALONE, ALWAYS TOGETHER, filmmaker Joana Georgi accompanies five young Berlin activists through their everyday lives for a year. Quang, Patricia, Simin, Zaza and Feline are involved in Fridays for Future, expropriating Deutsche Wohnen & Co, the Berlin hospital movement and dealing with racially motivated violence. They organize themselves, take care of their communities, create political art and use social media to make their ideas visible far beyond Berlin.

The film takes an honest look at the challenges of activism and at the same time tells of the small moments of solidarity that make social change possible. NEVER ALONE, ALWAYS TOGETHER breaks with common clichés about social movements and paints a portrait of a generation that raises its voice and believes in the need for fundamental change.
