Aspiring actor Matias likes being looked at - whether on stage or having sex in public at night with politician Rafael. The latter wants to become mayor of Porto Alegre and both are keen to keep their relationship a secret for the sake of their respective careers. Nevertheless, they keep trying out how far they can go in their adventures together: in the park, in the car, in the office or in the backyard. Knowing full well that Rafael's financial backers would use any means necessary to put an end to this affair.

By day they play their roles, by night they are completely themselves: "Night Stage" by Teddy Award winners Marcio Reolon and Filipe Matzembacher is the queer version of an insane psychological thriller, somewhere between Brian De Palma and Paul Verhoeven. Bathed in neon light, with a driving soundtrack, perfectly staged bodies and dark wit, their third feature film is a wild escape from the corset of heteronormative ordinariness - and perhaps the hottest film of the year!
