Every year they are the highlight and conclusion of the current season: the Hamburg Ballet Days. The 49th edition of the two-week festival will open on June 30, 2024 with a new creation by John Neumeier. In addition, the Ballet Days will offer glimpses of the season's repertoire, including John Neumeier's recently revived ballet "Odyssey," his popular classics "Romeo and Juliet" and "The Lady of the Camellias," and Cathy Marston's adaptation of Charlotte Brontë's novel "Jane Eyre." Other highlights include a two-day guest performance by a visiting company to be announced at a later date. With the glittering "Nijinsky Gala XLIX" at the end of the 2023/24 season, John Neumeier will bid farewell to this position after 51 years as artistic director of the Hamburg Ballet.
