With lots of live music!
What a nasty and unfriendly child little Nils is. The animals on the Holgersson farm are particularly affected.
One day comes the rude awakening: Nils is turned into an imp for his nastiness. At eye level with the animals, he makes friends with the farm goose Martin. When a flock of snooty wild geese stop off at the farm on their way north, Martin and Nils join them on their journey.
In the midst of these weird birds, led by the notorious Akka von Kebnekajse, Nils changes. He succeeds in gaining the trust and respect of the flock of geese. But he also has to prove his courage to protect his new gang from the attacks of the cunning red fox Smirre. And more adventures await him on the way to Lapland ...
As the end of summer approaches, Nils is faced with the question of whether he should stay with his feathered friends as an elf or break the spell and return to his parents as a big boy. What will he decide?
Felix Bachmann and his team have been responsible for the Christmas plays at the St. Pauli Theater for many years. After "The Jungle Book", "Robin Hood", "Peter Pan" and most recently Dickens' "A Christmas Story", "Nils Holgersson" is another classic of world literature on the program this year. With lots of humor - also for adults -, colorful pictures and lots of live music.
