With rousing energy, strong images and powerful dance sequences, Nirgendwo ist ein Ort/ Nulle part est un endroit is a homage to the dance style Krumping. Originating in the 1990s in African-American communities in Los Angeles, Krump is an expression of resistance against social inequality - and at the same time a creative outlet for personal experiences and emotions. In a danced lecture performance, choreographer Anne-Marie Van alias Nach provides insights into the creation, meaning and community of Krump. She combines her own artistic practice with archive material and research and reports on battles, freestyle sessions and the intense energy of this special dance culture.
